The southern end of the structure, across Liberty Avenue and to the north is ugly beyond redemption. I suggest that this part be removed and an at-grade park with walk and bike path be created down the middle with landscaping along the sides. An at grade park will allow the planting of a promenade of trees that is not possible with the planting on a structure and also simplifies maintenance and reduces costs in this area. A handicapped accessible transition to the higher level would then be provided to pass over 97th Avenue.
